Twitch check-in map overlay: a red dotted 3D globe with a viewer pin labeled MrR3dL1ne

Why streamers run a check-in globe

A globe that actually moves

A red-dot 3D earth that spins, zooms to each new pin and labels the viewer who just checked in. It reads instantly on stream instead of looking like a static image.

A stack of templates to choose from

Don't settle for one look. The Check-In Map ships with a library of overlay templates — different globe styles, pin and label treatments, colors and layouts — so the map matches your brand. Pick a template in the console and your browser source updates instantly.

One browser source, zero installs

Paste a URL into an OBS or Streamlabs Browser Source and you're live. Nothing to download, nothing to keep updated, works on any machine you stream from.

Turns lurkers into chatters

!checkin is the lowest-friction reason to type in chat. New viewers get a moment on screen in their first minute, which is exactly when they decide whether to stay.

Built for raid trains

On a raid train your audience changes every hour. The map fills up across the whole train and gives every incoming raid an instant reason to say hello.

Part of a full chatbot

The map is a module inside R3ddyBot, so the same bot also runs your timers, commands, AI replies, shoutouts and Twitch event reactions. One login, one console.

You stay in control

Mods can ignore abusive users, and the module can be toggled off at any time from the console without touching your OBS scenes.

Check-in map FAQ

What is a Twitch check-in map?

A check-in map is a stream overlay that plots your viewers on a live globe. When someone types !checkin in chat, R3ddyBot geolocates the city or region they name and drops a glowing pin with their username on the map for everyone watching.

How do I add the check-in globe to OBS?

Sign in to the R3ddyBot console with Twitch, enable the Check-In Map module, and copy its browser source URL. In OBS, add a Browser Source, paste the URL, and size it to your scene. No plugins or downloads are required.

Is the Twitch check-in map free?

Yes. The Check-In Map module is included free on every R3ddyBot plan, including the free tier. Paid plans add higher AI message limits, more timers and commands, and R3dLabs membership perks.

Do viewers need an account to check in?

No. Any viewer can type !checkin followed by their location in your Twitch chat. Nothing is installed and no signup is required on their side.

Can I change how the check-in map looks?

Yes. The Check-In Map ships with a set of ready-made overlay templates — different globe styles, pin and label treatments, colors and layouts — so you can pick the one that matches your stream. Swap templates in the console any time and the browser source updates on its own.

Can moderators remove a check-in?

Yes. Mods can use the ignore list to mute a user from the bot entirely, and check-ins are managed from the R3ddyBot console.
